Yucca Valley Content Retreat….. how was that nearly a year ago?! I’ve grown so much as a photographer and person since my trip out west last year. Dylan is the master of intimate couples portraits, so I was so excited to shoot alongside and learn from him. Every little detail of this content day was so well thought out. Not only were all the models incredibly beautiful (I mean….!), they also had incredible chemistry. I met so many incredible ladies, including Megan, at the Yucca Valley Content Retreat. I still enjoy following along with their lives and work. There was so much talent packed on to this property.
It just so happened that the day we were shooting a heat wave was rolling over California. With temperatures reaching record heights, we were all dripping sweat. Seriously, when I got back to my Airbnb I actually had to peel my tank top off my body. The air conditioning at the bnb also went out the night before, so I was already a puddle of sweat by the time I arrived to the content day.
My favorite part of the day by far was watching the sunset. The colors were like nothing I’d ever seen before. What they say about west coast sunsets is totally true, they just hit different. It was a spectacular end to an incredible day.
