ABOUT
SYDNEY

I'm a born and raised Kentucky girl who somehow ended up with a passport full of stamps, two very spoiled dogs, and a career that lets me celebrate people for a living.

When I'm not behind the camera, you'll usually find me reading (around 150 books a year. Yes, I know that's insane. mostly thrillers with a healthy mix of horror, fantasy, and romance), squeezing in a Lagree class, planning my next trip, or figuring out how to make autoimmune-friendly meals that actually taste good.

Travel has always been one of my greatest loves. I've been lucky enough to explore more than 20 countries, but if you ask me to pick a favorite, I absolutely can't. Italy has my heart (I've been six times and would happily make it seven tomorrow), but Greece will always be special because it's where my husband, Roman, proposed.

At home in Germantown, life revolves around our two rescue pups: Maple, our sweet Staffy we adopted from Louisville Metro Animal Services, and Rook, the Boxer my husband brought into the marriage.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention my Letterbox top four: Hereditary permanently altered my brain chemistry, Rear Window is a masterpiece, Coraline is my allll time favorite, and Pan's Labyrinth will forever be the movie that really got me into cinema. If you ever need someone to rank scary movies or talk about the latest horror release, I'm your girl.

Other completely unnecessary but important facts: Spencer Reid from Criminal Minds was my first fictional crush, I believe every gathering is improved by a good board game and an even better cheese board, I genuinely love astrology (Gemini sun, Taurus moon, Leo rising), and yes... I earned a master's degree in public policy from Northwestern before realizing my heart belonged somewhere completely different.

At the end of the day, I care it's all about human connection for me. My favorite part of this job isn't just creating beautiful photographs, it's getting to know the couples in front of my camera, hearing your stories, celebrating your people, and creating images that feel like you years from now.

If we end up spending your session talking about books, travel itineraries, your dogs, or whether Hereditary is genius or traumatizing... we'll probably get along just fine.

Meet Your Kentucky Editorial Wedding Photographer

I had a VERY specific vision for how I wanted the eternal heirlooms of our wedding day to look. I stumbled across Sydney and it was love at first sight.

— Mackinnley, past client

Sydney is truly one of the best there is! She is kind, funny, compassionate, and has a wicked eye behind the lens!

— Allison, Planner

Our Style

Our style lives at the intersection of editorial and emotion.

We create imagery that feels refined without feeling rigid, balancing thoughtfully composed portraits with the unscripted moments that make your wedding uniquely yours. Inspired by fashion, movement, light, and human connection, our approach blends direction when needed with the freedom for moments to unfold naturally.

Our Story

My path into photography began in high school through a required art course, and later deepened through an internship with a local editorial photographer. That early exposure shaped the way I learned to see—patiently, observantly, and through an art forward lens

I began with portraiture, drawn to people and presence. As those around me started falling in love, my work naturally expanded into weddings.

Our Method

We capture weddings on digital, 35mm, 120, and Super 8.

All wedding packages come with a minimum of two rolls of film.

Super 8 coverage is available A La Carte

"Not only did our photos turn out more beautiful than we could have imagined she also just brought a presence that was so calming on our wedding day. Having her there and knowing how well she knew the schedule for the day took so much pressure off me as the bride and eased my anxiety"

— Ashley, past client
