Olivia and Mike, along with their families, put together this stunning 21c museum wedding in just a few short weeks before Mike had to report to Hawaii for duty. Olivia’s mom coordinated all the stunning decor, cake, and vendors. Everything came together so beautifully (seriously, I think Sherry has a future in wedding design and coordination!). They even built that ceremony arch by themselves! I love a good Pinterest queen!
Olivia and Mike opted to have their ceremony take place on the balcony of the pent house suite they had rented out for the event. In terms of getting ready spaces, and even intimate ceremony spaces, it doesn’t get better than the 21c penthouse. With a private elevator up to your room, a gorgeous view of the river, and plentiful natural light.. it is both a photographer and bride’s dream. Not to mention, it is fully decked out in incredible art.
There were less than 50 guests in attendance, which made their day all the more special. Following their intimate ceremony, the two had a champagne toast on the balcony before heading down to the 21c museum wedding reception space within the gallery itself. After dinner and drinks, all the guests were able to dance among the instillations. It’s an incredibly unique experience, especially for art lovers.
After a bit of dancing, everyone headed out to the street for a sparkler exit. This exit was especially important. Not only were guests sending off the couple as newly weds, but also wishing them well on their new adventure in Hawaii!
I talk all the time about how much I love intimate weddings and elopements. This wedding was the perfect reminder of why they are so special to me. When you take away the extra fluff and extravaganza, all you’re left with is the people who love you most and the best day of your life.
