A good ole California Coast couples session is always one of my favorite things to photograph, but this one takes the cake. This week I sat down to reflect on the sessions that have meant the most to me. Throughout my photography journey I have met countless wonderful individuals with unique stories. But River and Juniper are extra special to me. During this session, Juniper was brave enough to present as her true self for the first time in front of the camera. It was a true honor to capture these gorgeous ladies. The sweet and playful love between Juniper and River was second to none. I admired their comfortability with each other, and we would all be so lucky to have what they have. Especially with River being a photographer herself, I wanted to be sure that I captured the true essence of their relationship.
This California Coast couples session happened to fall on my last day up north. And what a last day it was! We were met with the most beautiful March fog and drizzle. These two had to snuggle up to keep warm. I still remember that chilly beach weather sitting wrapped up in my blanket even now.
If you take anything from this set of photos, I hope that it’s how beautiful presenting as ones true self can be. And remember, you are beautiful. You are loved. And you are worthy.
