A Beckley Creek Park Engagement Session never fails to deliver, but they are even better during golden hour. The park is full of an assortment of yellow and gold tall grasses that reflect the light and add to the beautiful soft glow during the hour after sunrise and before sunset.
When Kendra mentioned that Beckley Creek Park was close to her and Evan, it was a no brainer. Beckley Creek is a part of the Parklands and boasts a number of picnic areas, trails, and beautiful backdrops for engagement sessions. A number of my couples choose a Beckley Creek Park engagement session for this reason. The morning of Kendra and Evan’s engagement session was one of the first really cold mornings of November. I remember that my hands were cold even with the HotHands in my pocket (seriously guys, these are a lifesaver for photographers and clients alike). But, the lighting was so spectacular I couldn’t even be the tiniest bit mad about the weather. I love the gorgeous winter soft light that came through that morning, and I wouldn’t change anything about it!
I’ve known Kendra and Evan for as long as I can remember. Kendra and I were on the Dance Team together in high school at NOHS and Evan and I shared a friend group in middle school. These two are GOOD people. Seriously, even my mom talks about how amazing Kendra is, and Evan was one of my first friends at North. So needless to say when Kendra asked me if I was available for their wedding date I was overjoyed. Honestly counting down the days until their 2022 wedding. I know it will be so special, and I am looking forward to seeing so many familiar faces. I can’t wait to see what the future brings for them as a married couple.
