A Louisville Rooftop Couples session had been on my bucket list for quite sometime. So, you have no idea how excited I was to get Amber and Marcus in front of my camera. We had such a great time during this session (Marcus was the true creative, he came with so many of his own ideas!) After their session they hit up La Bodeguita de Mima for dinner and drinks, which is another perk of shooting downtown!
Not only is Amber insanely beautiful (I mean, blonde Megan Fox vibes?!) but she’s beyond sweet. I met Amber in college through my sorority, and this year she and Marcus got engaged at the Kentucky Castle (go Marcus, what a proposal!). These two fit together so well. Marcus brought so many fun ideas to the table and I had a blast chatting with them. They recently purchased a house in Louisville and have been spending some time when they aren’t traveling fixing it up to turn it into an Airbnb. I can’t wait to see how it comes out– they’ve got some awesome plans for it!
It’s not often that my couples ask for or are up for shooting in an urban location. Maybe it’s the couples I attract, or maybe it’s just the trend right now. But, I had been wanting to shoot something downtown for what seems like forever. Parking garages have always been one of my favorite spots for photo sessions. Not only is the sunset stunning and there are typically great views of the city scape, but there is typically very few people at the top of garages. Most of the popular spots for couples sessions around Louisville are going to be packed at prime shooting times. Garage roofs are a nice escape from the crowds!
