A Garden of the Gods Photoshoot was ridiculously high up on my photography bucket list. This summer I was traveling out west to Yucca Valley, California for a photographers retreat and had planned to make a pit stop in Colorado beforehand. Colorado is by far one of my favorite places on the planet, so I wanted to put out some feelers to see if anyone would be interested in a Garden of the Gods photoshoot since I had never been out to Colorado Springs. Jess responded to my post saying that her and her husband were interested.
Jess is one of those people that just feel like home when you meet them. She is a dear friend of one of my 2021 wedding couples, so I already knew that I would adore here. But the more we chatted on Instagram the more excited I was to meet here. When I was ecstatic to photograph her and her husband. Not only is she absolutely stunning (I mean… c’mon!!) but she is a fellow Halloween lover! You’ve gotta check out her Instagram for all things Fall here.
We arrived at Garden of the Gods bright and early before a crowd had gathered. We chose a spot that was walking distance from the parking lot so it would be more accessible for the kiddos. Everything about this day came together perfectly. The weather was stunning and Jess absolutely killed it on the outfit choices. Plus, my brother and I got to explore the park together after their session.
I have since been back to Garden of the Gods twice, and I have plenty of plans to revisit the park in the future. If you are on the fence about doing a Garden of the Gods photoshoot, don’t be. I am here to tell you to go for it. Want more information on booking a session? Let’s chat!
